Early Fall Bloom

The warm (early) Fall weather has brought about a late bloom.

Little Yellow Flower

These photos were taken with the newly acquired Hexanon 55mm F3.5 Macro lens.

Rose bud against cloudy sky

This lens, like all other Hexanon's in my collection, is a great lens - though I would prefer a greater magnification in a macro.  Interestingly, the addition of the extension tube which accompanies the Hex 55 Macro yields virtually no discernible difference in focal length, and subsequent effective magnification, when mounted to my micro 4/3 EPL-1 body.  More practice and comparative testing is needed to ensure I'm using the lens and extension tube properly.
