Blue Damselfly

Perching on a blade of grass

From a recent trip to Las Padres National Forest, these beauties were out in full force, flying about, and always welcome company.

Blue Damselfly

This photo was taken thru my 80-200mm F3.5 Hexanon - a monster of a lens, but a thing of beauty and on of my favorite pieces of legacy glass.  Post-processing to crop and resize, with no additional (purposeful) alteration, was managed through RawTherapee 4.0.11.1.  RawTherapee has really left me impressed.  I find that there is something peculiar or oddly un-intuitive around the function and workflow of Adobe's Elements 11 - perhaps the software itself is feature constrained, or it is that I simply cannot get into the zen of it.  Regardless, it is hard to beat the price of RawTherapee (free), and really appreciate that it is multi-platform friendly (Windows, Mac OS, and various Linux distros).
